Frequently Asked Questions


Q.  What happens to my deposit if I should have to cancel?

  1. A.  If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days before your arrival date, you will receive your deposit back (less a $25.00 cancellation fee).  If notice of cancellation is less than 30 days, your deposit will be returned (less the $25.00 fee) only if we are able to rebook the cottage.











Q.  Do you allow pets?

  1. A. Some units allow pets for an additional fee.  See individual cottage links to find out what cottages are “pet friendly”.  Pets may not be left unattended in or outside a cottage, nor allowed to run freely.  Pet owners need to dispose of pet waste immediately.















Q.  Do prices include taxes?

  1. A.  Rates quoted on each cottage page do not include the 5.5% state sales tax nor the 5.5%   

       Door Co. room tax. These taxes will be added to your balance.


Q.  Can I set up a camper on the property?

  1. A.  Camping is not allowed on the property. One designated parking for  per cottage is marked and available near each cottage.  A maximum of 2 cars per cottage is requested in the spaces provided around the circle drive. Extra cars and boat trailers may be parked behind the cottages near the dumpster.


  1. Q. Do you supply wood for the bonfire?

  2. A. Wood for the bonfire is provided and Door Co. asks that you do not bring wood from

      other areas to burn.  The bonfire pit is located near the water in the large open area near       

      the swingset.  There are a few other spots on the property that look like they are fire

      pits.  These are actually drain tiles and we ask that you do not burn wood in these areas.

      We also ask that you do not used personal fir pits as they may not be used in the safe

      area.


Q.  Where do I check in?

  1. A.  Check in time for weekly renters is 3:00 pm and your cottage will be open for you.       Check out time is 10:00 an on day of departure.  Our on-site manager, Trudy Erickson, will be around to collect your balance and tend to your needs. A lock box is provided in the office attached to the desk for you to place your check for the balance, if you should miss Trudy.
